Disaster Recovery
We've Been Through It!
The magnitude of a business disaster can be directly correlated to the degree of preparation!

Disaster Recovery Experience
Created and executed disaster recovery plan for Burger King Corporation.
This plan encompassed the overall corporate technology plan, as well as the specific plan to relocate seven hundred employees and systems, design and implement temporary systems, networks, and design, implement, and support the new corporate infrastructure. This disaster recovery plan was created and executed following Hurricane Andrew, spanned an eighteen month period, and was accomplished while managing “normal” business operations.
The project effort required a complete redesign of corporate systems (desktop applications, servers, routers, hubs, communications, etc) since the previous systems were not integrated. Much of the disaster recovery effort was focused on educating users, managing expectations, and securing ‘buy-in’ for the new integrated system. Key elements in the overall success of this project included teamwork and flexibility.
The focus was people first. Team members rescued other team members from hurricane-flattened homes while they continued to manage business priorities. Success was achieved through effectively managing (serving) others, and working with vendors and partners. Collaborated with NCR, to relocate Burger King’s 24/7 helpdesk to Dayton Ohio; two days prior to Headquarters being destroyed. Helpdesk operations, and support for 1000 retail sites, were never interrupted.
Additional Disaster Recovery Experience
Created disaster recovery plans for other companies such as Sonic Drive-In Corporation.
